Filmen tager sin begyndelse i et afsides hospitalskompleks, hvor soldater kæmper imod en hær af gale zombier. Soldaterne finder en række beholdere, der skal destrueres, men en af soldaterne gemmer en af beholderne i en termokande! Årene går, og en dag bliver termokanden fundet af nogle patienter. De åbner termokanden, og pludselig opstår sære symptomer som hoste, sårudbrud, tankelæsning, sort fråde om munden, og et begær efter menneskekød!
