In Zentralasien gibt es zwei berühmte Kung-Fu Schulen. Shaolin und Wudong. Als jedoch Kurt Wong Oberhaupt der Wudong Schule wird, wird er vom Neid zerfressen zum Mörder und tötet den Abt der Shaolin. Dragon Lee, ein Schüler der Shaolin, schwört Rache und sucht nach dem Mörder. Lee trifft auf seinem einsamen Weg Chi-Yen, der ihn als Mönch des Shaolin Tempels verkleidet, und Pinkey Poon, die den Mörder ihres Vaters sucht. Nach einer langen Suche finden sie schließlich Kurt Wong. Er ist Experte in einer speziellen Kampftechnik "Thunder Kick". Plötzlich zeigt Chi-Yen sein wahres Gesicht. Er ist ein Handlanger von Kurt Wong. Seine Hilfe für Lee war nur eine Falle. Dragon Lee wird im kampf besiegt und eingesperrt. Während seiner Gefangenschaft wird er von seinen Gefängnisgenossen in der Kunst der Shaolin weiter unterrichtet. Als er schließlich von Pinkey befreit wird kommt es zum entscheidenden Kampf zwischen Dragon Lee und Kurt Wong.
