Blanche trifft einen attraktiven Fremden und nimmt seine Einladung zum Dinner an, obwohl sie eigentlich mit ihrem verwitweten Onkel Lucas verabredet ist. Mit einer kleinen Lüge überredet sie Dorothy, mit Lucas auszugehen. Sie erzählt ihrer Freundin, er sei verrückt nach ihr. Das Gleiche erzählt sie umgekehrt ihrem Onkel. Als Dorothy und Lucas bei ihrem Treffen hinter die Lüge kommen, beschließen sie, sich an Blanche zu rächen. Am nächsten Tag sinkt Onkel Lucas vor Blanches Augen vor Dorothy auf die Knie und hält um ihre Hand an.
