Η Μάργκαρετ, κόρη του καθηγητή Φούκς, παίρνει ένα περίεργο δώρο από τον πατέρα της, μια μέρα πριν τα γενέθλια. Ένα δαχτυλίδι, που προέρχεται από τις μακροχρόνιες έρευνες και ανασκαφές, του διακεκριμένου αρχαιολόγου, στην Αίγυπτο.
