Jan Fabricius (1871 - 1964) was a Dutch playwright and journalist. He was the father of Johan Fabricius, a writer. Although he wrote continuously from the 1890s to his death, his greatest period of success was during 1904-1916, when his plays sold out theatres in the Netherlands and were translated into multiple languages. During the height of his popularity he was considered to be the leading Dutch playwright writing plays set in the Dutch East Indies.
