Dr Jonathan Paige takes over from Paul Dangerfield as the police surgeon and meets new DI Gillian Cramer. A well-loved local farmer is found dead and the team look towards his stormy family life for an explanation… An army recruit, home on leave, confesses to the murder of his brother following an argument between the two at a fairground. However, when he is called to the station to help with another case, Paige learns the truth.
