전작 《휴가 친구》로부터 몇 달이 지난 시점, 신혼부부가 된 마커스와 에밀리는 갓 결혼해 아이까지 생긴 론과 카일라를 카리브해 휴가 여행에 초대한다. 론과 카일라는 모르고 있지만, 마커스는 이곳에서 리조트 회장을 만나 시카고 호텔 건설 계약을 따낼 계획이다. 그러나 예상과 달리 일정에 바뀐 데다, 갓 출소한 카일라의 아버지 리스가 갑자기 리조트에 나타나는 바람에 모든 일이 꼬이기 시작한다. 목숨을 건 서핑과 술 게임에 수상한 스노클링과 난데없는 정글 추격전까지! 한 치 앞을 내다볼 수 없는 이 휴가, 무사히 마칠 수 있을까?
